The Canada-China Agriculture and Food Development Exchange Centre (CCAgr) is proud to be working with York University to conduct the Canada Modern Agriculture Development Training Program for the delegations of the Fujian Province Agriculture Department. The Fujian Province is one of the most economically advanced areas in China. There will be approximately 18 people in attendance. There people will include government officials, investors and CEO’s from large agricultural companies in China.
This program will begin on Monday March 4, 2013 and will run for a total of three weeks. Many important professionals are on the list of educators for the duration of this program, including, specialists from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), University professors and various representatives from large Canadian agriculture and agri-food companies. Featured visits during the program will include: a local winery, ginseng farm, cucumber greenhouse, the Poultry Industry Council in Guelph, and many more!
Through this training program, the CCAgr hopes to promote increased collaboration between Canada and China and introduce opportunity for possible business ventures between the two countries. The CCAgr will take this opportunity to promote Canada’s agricultural products and agri-food for export, as well as attract Chinese investment in Canadian businesses in the near and hopeful future.
