Canadian Government Officials Recognize CCAgr’s Work

2008-12-12, Hamilton, Ontario.  The Canada-China Agriculture and Food Development Exchange Centre’s (CCAgr) head office in Canada received a letter from the Honourable Gerry Ritz , Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food  and Minister for the Canadian Wheat board and a letter from Dr. Yvon Martel, Chief Scientist, International Scientific Cooperation Bureau, Agriculture and Agri-foodCanada.

Dated December 9, 2008, the honourable Gerry Ritz wrote, “I commend you for your dedication to Canadian agriculture, the Canadian regulatory system and opportunities that may arise between Canada and China.  Your website offers a wealth of services that the Canadian agriculture industry could utilize…My department remains committed to supporting the successes Canada-China trade and co-operation….I have made my staff who are involved issues pertaining to China aware of your services  “. 

The CCAgr also received a letter dated December 1, 2009 from Dr. Yvon Martel, Chief Scientist, International Scientific Cooperation Bureau, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada.   Dr. YVon Martel expressed his best wishes for the CCAgr.

Youming Zhao, P.Ag.  M.Sc.  President of the CCAgr, stated, “the response from the Minister Ritz and Dr. Yvon Martel recognize the importance of the CCAgr in utilizing and optimizing the culture, language and technical skills of Canadian and Chinese cooperation. This presents unlimited business opportunities between Canada and China".
