                                         Tentative Itinerary  

Day 1:  Arrival Hong Kong

Upon your arrival at Hong Kong, one of the world's leading financial capitals, a major business and cultural hub, we will escort you to your hotel and where we will have a dinner. After dinner, you will be free to enjoy the remainder of the evening at your leisure. A sightseeing tour of Hong Kong will be available. 

Day  2:   Hong Kong / Guangzhou

 In the morning, we will take a luxury train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. This will provide time to enjoy the agricultural landscape in the southern of China.

 Upon your arrival at Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, one of the richest places in China.  we will escort you to your hotel and have a lunch there. In the afternoon, we will have our first seminar with potential Chinese investors.         

 First Seminar:   Investment in Canadian Agri-food and Agribusiness collaboration Seminar (Guangzhou).

Guangdong province is the first province to open the door to foreign countries. Its strong private sector and bold investors offer great potential to attract investment. Following the seminar will be additional leisure time. 

Day 3:  Guangzhou/ Guilin

Free in the day until our guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination--Guilin.

Upon your arrival at Guilin, the most scenic city in China, our guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Today's excursion will bring you to the Elephant Trunk Hill, the Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave and some farm tours. Because of geography, the climate is different from the northern part of China. In this province we can enjoy different crops, plants and animal husbandry, such as rice and water buffalo. Today we visit a piggery in a suburb, it has more than 3000 pigs and afterwards we talk with local experts about agriculture and exchange views.

--Elephant Trunk Hill: the symbol of Guilin, which resembles a giant elephant drinking water from the Li River.

--Fubo Hill:  You will see lots of statues of Buddha left about 1000 years ago in the Returned Pearl Cave and have a bird’s eye view of the whole city after climbing up to the very top.

Day 4  Guilian / Xian

After breakfast, we will complete the approximately 40 minute drive to Zhujiang Pier and start the boat cruise along the tranquil Li River,  which is the highlight in Guilin until you get to Yangshuo County. We lunch on the boat. Along the river, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and reflections in the water together with the serene pastoral views of rice paddies, water buffaloes and countless duck farms along two sides of the riverbank, you are certainly walking into a traditional Chinese painting by cruising on it. Yangshuo is a tiny county town set amidst pinnacles, and makes a great base from which to explore other villages and talk to peasants about their rice production, water buffalo and other enterprises. Then we drive back to Guilin.  We will have dinner with local agricultural experts and local business owners in the evening!

After dinner, we will board a plane for a one -hour flight to Xian, one of the oldest cities in China. Upon arrival in Xian, we will be transported to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 5:    XiAn

 Today, you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses. After lunch, visit the Ancient City Walls and the Bell Tower. Complete the day with a savory dumpling dinner and the Tang Dynasty show both at Shaanxi Grand Opera Theatre.

Day 6: Xian / Changchun, Jilin province

We will arrive in Changchun in the afternoon. Once settled we will take a break and visit Changchun city. At this stop of the tour, you will be able to depend your understanding the northeastern Chinese culture. You will have the opportunity to enjoy fun in "film city", "forest city" and "granary of north China". 

 ---- Changchun is a young city with a long history. There were human activities here as early as 70,000 years ago and the earliest primitive hordes inhabited the area some 7,000 years ago. Changchun is rich in resources and has a developed economy.  It is one of China's 40 Cities with an Excellent Infrastructure for Investment. It has always enjoyed the reputation of being an "automobile city", "film city", "city of science and technology", "forest city" and "granary of north China".  Jilin province is located in northeastern of China.  Jilin borders North Korea and Russia.  Jilin is also one of the most important agricultural provinces in China.

Day 7 :  Changchun

          Highlight: China 7th International Agricultural Fair

Most of China’s large agricultural-related companies attend this event and have exhibition booths there.You will have the opportunity to meet key players in China's agriculture industry from government and the private sector. Early registration is required to set up contacts and arrange specific meetings. 

In the morning, we will attend: 

             Second Seminar: Canada-China Dairy Industry Seminar 

China’s most important dairy industry people will be in attendance. This will be an invaluable opportunity to develop an understanding of the up-to-date Chinese dairy industry. It will allow you to promote your dairy products and technologies there.   You will be provided with opportunity to network with China’ most influential people in the dairy industry and cultivate future business relationships and partners.

Day 8: Changchun

We will continue our visit of China's 7th International Agriculture Fair. Today, through further exploration of the event, you will develop a more complete picture of the Chinese agricultural industry. Furthermore, you be able to continue networking and exploring potential business opportunities in order to expand your business into China or to attract investors. 

At this event, you will meet more than 600 exhibitors and thousands of professionals from around world. If enought time remains following this, we will try to visit local dairy, piggery and other farms. 

Day 9  :  Changchun

This will be the last day we are at the fair. You will have the opportunity to meet one on one with potential partners that you have established communication with during previous days. This will be the time to sign contracts or agreements that have been made over the past two days.  This is an important opportunity and should not be missed! CCAgr will do everthing we can do to help set up lucrative meetings in advance.

Day 10: Changchun / Beijing

In the early of morning, we take a short flight to our last stop—Beijing! 

Upon your arrival Beijing, the capital of China, our guide will meet you and escort us the hotel.

In the afternoon: we will have our third seminar with potential Chinese investors:     

    Seminar three:  Investment in Canadian Agri-food (Beijing) and Agribusiness collaboration Seminar

Beijing is one of richest cities in China. Many investors there are interested in finding suitable agricultural food investment businesses in Canada. This is your time to present your business profile and attract investment.

Day 11: Beijing 

    As an introduction to the imperial city of Beijing, the tour offers a stroll in Tiananmen Square, the world's largest square, bordered by the Great Hall of the People and the National Museum of China. This will be followed with a walk to the Forbidden City, and the complex of the Imperial Palace. It was home to the Chinese Emperors for over 500 years, and is sited on 72 hectares of land with 9000 rooms covering a floor space of 150,000 square meters. Grand halls and courts gradually give way to more intimate domestic quarters, giving an insight into the pampered isolation of the emperors.

   The afternoon will be one of the highlights of the tour, the climbing of the Great Wall. No visit to China would be complete without seeing the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China was first built in the Warring States period (475-221 BC) as a series of earthworks erected by individual kingdoms as a defense against each other as well as from invasions from the north. Its main objective was to keep out Genghis Khan and the Mongolian hordes. This proved only partially successful. The present day wall was left from the Ming dynasty and it represents one of the wonders of the world. After this excursion, a Peking Duck Banquet and overnight in Beijing.

Day 12:  Beijing/Canada

After breakfast, we board the flight, procured through CCAgr's arrangement, to your sweet home –Canada. 

This will be an excellent opportunity to further discuss the trip and contacts made with your fellow travelers.
